Average Chimney Sweep Prices
Expect to pay £65 to £95 for a routine open fire sweep in Hertford. Stove and wood burner sweeps sit slightly higher at £70 to £100, since the sweep has to remove and clean the baffle and work through a liner.
Prices here run above the UK average, which mostly reflects higher travel, parking and running costs in the area.
Extra work costs more: a CCTV inspection runs £95 to £160 and clearing a bird nest is £85 to £170. Many sweeps offer a discount if you book two flues on the same visit, so it is worth asking.
