How often should I have my chimney swept in Maidstone?

For wood burners, multi-fuel stoves and open fires used regularly, once a year is standard. If you burn solid fuel more heavily, twice a year may be wise. Gas appliances need less frequent attention; ask your sweep what suits your setup.

What does a CCTV chimney inspection cost in Maidstone?

CCTV inspections here typically run £100 to £170. They let your sweep see inside the flue without dismantling anything, spot blockages, cracks or bird nests, and give you a clear record of your chimney's condition.

Do Maidstone chimney sweeps offer Saturday appointments?

Yes. All three sweeps in the Maidstone directory open on Saturdays, so you can arrange a visit around your working week.

How much does bird nest removal cost?

Bird nest removal in Maidstone costs £90 to £180 depending on the nest's size and position. Note that nesting birds are protected by law during the breeding season, so timing matters.

What is included in a chimney sweep visit?

A standard sweep cleans the flue, removes soot and debris, and checks for obvious faults. The sweep will usually hand you a certificate when finished. If they spot damage or blockages, they'll advise you on next steps such as CCTV inspection or repairs.

Should I get my chimney swept before winter?

Yes. Sweep your chimney before the heating season starts so your fire or stove runs safely and efficiently. Booking in summer avoids the autumn rush and gives you peace of time before you need to light up.
